Jeff's birthday and other things

We were able to go to Herriman after Christmas and "most" of the family was there. We went to Applebee's for dinner that evening to celebrate Jeff's birthday. It was kind of interesting since I still have to wear my big white mask. I lowered it long enough to take a few bites at a time. It was so fun to have everyone ( at one time everyone was there, they just came and went) there. My happiness comes from being with my family.

Lisa shared some of their Christmas pictures so I will too. They went to This is the Place for a candlelight journey. One of the stops was to have a picture with Father Christmas.

Jan. 5, was Ellie's 1st birthday. We weren't able to be there but again we received pictures. Eric tells me that about 20 minutes prior to when the cousins and other grandparents were to arrive the rubber duck cake had a mishap and the head slid off. They had to do "plastic surgery" and reconnect the head. When Eric tells a story he reminds me so much of my Dad.

The last few days have not been good ones, for what ever reason. I have felt totally fatigued all day long. Just prior to that though I had 3 of the best days that I have had. I guess I possibly over did it. Oh, it felt so good to actually "live".

In my quiet laid back days I have been rereading the letters my dad sent to my grandmother while he was in the war. I am working on writing his history. I know there are certain things that I am to do with my "extra time" that the Lord gave me. Foremost I KNOW I am to be a witness of Him and His love and power. I feel strongly that I am to write my father and mother's life history. I also believe that I am suppose to help educate about Amyloidosis. And I know that I am to work on being a better person serving others more and being better and doing the things that our Heavenly Father wants us to do. I set 11 new year's goals. I will take what ever extra time the Lord gives me and try to accomplish many things. I LOVE being with my family and that is what I am going to do as often as I can.
