Milestone

Well, we have finally reached a milestone in my recovery. I get to come home to Cache Valley. It is exciting and kind of scary. They are not discharging me from their care. I still have a Central Line in which I will have orders with my friends in Infusion to help with line care and draw blood for me next week The following week I will go back to Salt Lake for my 100 day check. This will involve 2 days of testing, one of which is another bone marrow biospy.

My mom and Julie and I don't know who else ventured in the catacombs of my house to help clean it and prepare it for my arrival. I am embarrassed but so very grateful for that help.

I am going to have to still be very very careful at home. My energy level is at less than 20% but is very slowing increasing. I have about 3-4 active hours in a day, by active that includes: eating, talking on phone, visiting, showering. Pathetic huh? But proud to do it. I take mulitple naps to recharge,

The doctors have said my immunity system is comparable to an infant. It seems like my energy is too.

I am excited to see and visit with alot of you but I do have to be very careful. I am on a low microbial diet which includes no Paradise water!! I will have to buy water. Any one have one they like any better? I think I will also get a small Brita pitcher and put it in, Brita doesn't remove microbes but will improve flavor.

I am asking that anyone who would like to come and see me not come if they have anyone in their house that is ill even with a cold, or if they have recently been ill and not totally over it.
They say my biggest threat right now is infection. I am not out of the woods so to say. Actually some days I feel lost in those woods.

I am so very excited and once again want to express my gratitude to everyone!!

I add a few photos of some of the wonderful staff who took care of me. They are truly my life savers.
