I can't describe what I have gone through yesterday and today as a speed bump, it wasn't THAT bad, just a big pot hole. I can use this description because I live in a small town that has a few roads with very impressive pot holes!
Dave and I actually went to the matinee movie yesterday but towards the end of the movie I had the symptoms of a very bad UTI hit. I am still under the care of the bone marrow transplant people so I called Salt Lake. They really don't like their immuno suppressed patients going to the ER unless it's life threatening so I was instructed to hang IV fluids and take some pyridium. Thankfully I have kept some on hand in my first aid box and my central line is still in. I spent a very sleepless night and went in for testing and received antibiotics. The BMT are so good to me. They are available for me 24 hours a day. I am quite complicated when they try to decide what they can give me, safely. My sweet friend Nancy drove me in to the lab for testing and to get my meds. While at the hospital I ran into 3 of my education friends which brightened my day.
I felt so miserable last night and today, but then I thought how bad I had really felt just a month or so ago. I am so grateful to be improving, even with a pot hole.
