Life continues to bring surprises.
When I went for chemo and bone marrow transplant, all the nurses, doctors and PA's told me that my particular chemo usually produces black curly hair when the hair came back in.
My hair after 6 months is about 1 inch long. For the past few months as it has come in, I have had several colors; white, light brown and even a very very dark brown. One friend told me I reminded her of a calico cat. We laughed about that. My hair has been stick straight!
The past week I have noticed after washing my hair, the back of my hair has some lovely curls showing up. There are even a few waves along the top of the sides of my hair. What a fun surprise. It's way too cold to not wear a hat or wig but when I am at home in the evenings I am sporting a slightly curly doo.
I was able to attend all 3 meetings at church today. It was a wonderful day and fed my spirit which needed feeding very badly. I loved the day. You can be very tired at church or very tired at home.
We also watched the First Presidency Christmas Devotional. Lisa, my daughter in law shared a wonderful website with me...check it out.... Christmas.lds.org
There are so many wonderful things on it; several videos, talks, quotes. It really helps focus on the true meaning of Christmas.
I think back to only 4 months ago and I was in the hospital fighting for my life. I really have come a long way in the past 4 months. Daily I think about all of the wonderful people who have prayed for me, sent me emails, cards, brought me food, visited me, sang to me, cleaned my house and continue to encourage me along. I am so very blessed to have you all in my life.
Thank you and God bless you.
